Gold & Oil for example have always had good returns & Coy's have been actively on the lookout for them for decades or even centuries, when it comes to gold. Finding easily extractable resources for both is not easy.
On the other end of the scale, REE was supplied by China with large resources, and the cheap labour in China made it viable to produce economically.
REE until recently was not in the lime light, until China decided not to part with it.
When the major world supplier dries up, and there is sufficient demand, other Coy's start looking for it actively
Hence there is a better chance of finding new large REE reserves than gold or oil, as they were not a lucrative investment in the past and companies were not really looking for REE.
And if it has not been mined heavily, there is a better chance of finding more...
So IMO we may hit the jackpot, and the price has a very good chance of multiplying.
