Per tonne of SOP output AMN will need greater flows. The pre-production ponds will need to be bigger to cater for the extra brine but that's where the difference ends (your 50% larger number is way off).

After ponds the Mackay lake surface will have ~2,700km2 of available area for trenching.
Lake Disappointment will have ~600km2 available for brine extraction. That's more than 4x the trenchable area which easily makes up for the lower grade brine. I'm a firm non-believer in the viability of bore extraction at Disappointment - they have been drilling holes for years and are still yet to publish any real results.

We agree on the NaCl storage. I believe KLL would focus on this benefit at their project because they don't have the same available lake area for storage. It isn't critical for Mackay so I haven't done enough research to comment but KLL look to be fortunate on this front because otherwise it might have been a show stopper for them.

RWD et.al, you have very comprehensively and regularly documented the risk you believe native title poses to the Mackay Project. You all held views that conflicted with the beliefs of a number of posters questioning the validity of your Lake Disappointment ILUA. Surely you would understand that positive engagement along with valid and due process with the native title holders will result in a successful native title outcome. If you can't agree with that then I'm sure you can at least relate to how annoying your repetitive scare mongering is.
