Some of the Directors have over time proven that they are not the best of farmers nor managers of companies for that fact, researching the Directors will attest to this.
Dairy farming is not something you research on line to learn nor the reading of books. It is an industry where you learn by experience over many, many years and if you are honest you are learning something new every day. You have to be a vet, a nutritionist, accountant and above all have management skills.
Lenders expect knowledge and the expectation of being successful, Investors are the same they entrust their hard earned into something that will give them a return on their capital.
The problem here lies in the fact that Directors do not speak COW, nor DAIRY, nor MOO.(taken as a quote from another poster on another dairy forum), but oh so very true.
Reading all the announcements since they have tried to go into the dairy space it to appears that this fell off the tracks about February last year, one wonders what has transpired since. Fiji would not have help and if this has come from their advisers it somewhat answers why things have stagnated and perhaps they need to have a change of Board and advisers who know the space that they are looking to enter.
