Many thanks Mars C, a great post.

Gerry Harvey consistently demonstrates his passion for the business and I expect he will fight like a caged tiger to protect it and ultimately keep growing it. I am even more certain Gerry would love to prove a whole lot of people wrong regarding -Amazon, opaque accounting, director share selling, reliance on property revaluations etc. We all need to understand that this man has enormous pride in his business.
Sometime we can look at the numbers but in this case we need to look at the man and think about how he is likely to react. The HVN half year results were good. The PMV half year results (released yesterday) were good. Gerry Harvey and Solomon Lew are two of the best retailers in Australia. Never underestimate the owners mentality effect. I would back Gerry and Sol to produce the goods again in H2 FY'17
