I have bit of an issue with the gambit of ALD directors selling shares - presumable to cash in on their options since they possibly don't have the money to pay for them now. To me this doesn't show much in the way of confidence.

I am suspicious (possibly unjustified) that they could have some unofficial deal with the Insto's to buy the shares now with a possibility of a nice bonus down the line in terms of a placement. Maybe I am becoming over concerned but the track record of ALD has helped their "sophisticated Investors" and is not good in respect of rights issues.
