Yes I agree Latin Gold IPO would be good for IGS SH - that's the point !! good IPO outcome = value !
IGS currently needs funds for Latin Gold share of JV and funds for 40% JV in Plumbridge ! If IGS does a CR with its share price sitting at 0.03 it will dilute all SH very badly and I don't think IGS SH would like that ! Nor would I participate on those terms.
Hence the idea - IPO Latin Gold (AIM) raise funds at higher share price out x of raised capital to meet JV Latin Gold expenditure, put it into heap leach production ASAP, use % of capital raised to repay IGS % of acquisition costs of Latin Gold and then use this capital for Plumbridge based (only) on success ! or dilute !
Latin Gold by way of IPO de-risks dilution for IGS SH and creates capital growth ! Simple.
As I have read Santa Fe is now in some +USD$60 m debit ! There has been two attempts to merge (1 x IGS / 1 x Other)both have failed poorly !
Santa Fe current SH if you go to yahoo finance are not impressed at all, including legal action has been taken.
Santa Fe loans are not impressed at all (significantly) to say the least !
It is easy to see the loans are about to be called ! The debit in this company is huge due mainly to failure of equipment as I read and mgt !
Santa Fe could end up in receivership however NO banking product is going to assist them.
