That is just business I guess. I think statistics show that most business's fail. Some will make it though. I am not sure of anything in this market anymore frankly. I do know that we are entering a phase of recession and have no idea how long that will last.
Certain sectors should boom in these tough times and surely VOIP is one of those cost saving sectors. Clever marketyers will realise & capitalize on this opportunity.
Have you seen the recent Primus Chapter 11 info? On Monday, Primus Telecommunications Group announced it and three affiliated holding companies were undertaking "consensual financial restructuring" with various debt holders - Chapter 11 bankruptcy by most any other name.
Under the bankruptcy proceedings, the holding companies would shed more than 50 percent of their principal debit obligations - around $315 million - reduce interest payments by more than 50 percent, and extend certain debt maturities in exchange for stock and warrants to the debtors. Before entering bankruptcy, Primus had anywhere from $500 million to $1 billion in debt and $100 million to $500 million in assets.
Primus provides a mixed bag of services, including traditional long-distance and international voice, VoIP, Internet, wireless, data, and hosting services to businesses and residential customers.
