This reduction in SRECs for residential installations from 5 times, skipping 4, to 3 and then to none in three years is going to shake out the solar installation industry.
The good bit is with world module and BOS production capacity already at double 2010 production levels and heading to double yet again next year prices are going to tumble. Combet's move is going to force flow through of these price changes sooner rather than later.
Very soon PV will be cheaper than mains power even without SRET subsidy and installation rates (and SOO's profit) will go through the roof.
A painfall twelve months for everyone in the industry coming up though.
