so you wanted a large company to support you for no reciprocal return? as a shareholder I'm particularly pleased that a semblance of commercial focus is prevalent at field level. imagine that, every rep in the country hands over a $400 cheque (or worse a depreciating piece of marketing) to retailers (and there are many 10s of thousands) without any reciprocal commitment. my experience is that many smaller operators make it difficult for these folk to actually help, because everyone thinks their patch of turf is a woolworths or subway store. maybe they looked in your store and said, mate you don't need a sign first, your range is not right, or you have an old cooler etc etc. My bet is there were probably issues on retail nous they tried to help with......and all you wanted was a sign.
