    From the point of view of a very "rusty" (pun intended) physical rather than extractive metalurgist I invisage the extraction of cobalt ore is not being paticularly onerous.

    If I remember correctly it is an important ingredient for making grades of special air hardening steel as well as playing a part of a compound of an accelarant chemical in the GRP industry and no doubt others.
