Wrong again Sierra. As Adeo says, your baseless assertions regarding subsidies have been blown away before, for example on the "UK goes coal power free for the first time since 1882" thread.
The specific facts you ignored were headlined by your claim of $12 billion pa "subsides" that included $900M "FBT - Application of statutory formula to value car benefits" !! Post 17839693 is reproduced below for ease of reference.
"Sierra, I read that report you linked (as I usually do) and note, yet again, your sources cherry pick (& even deliberately distort) the figures.
Over 1/2 of the claimed 2016 $12 billion "subsidy" is the $6.117 Fuel tax credit scheme which applies to ALL mining, not just coal. Your article then unbelievably goes on to admit that whilst they estimate only 20% applies directly to fossil fuels, "We have included the full amount as it all goes to supporting the consumption of fossil fuels."
The full $1.930 billion accelerated depreciation for ALL mining is incorrectly applied to fossil fuels only. We then have 5 FBT categories (including statutory formula for car benefits & alternatives to log book car expenses !!) all applied to fossil fuels - how ?? How is $55 million of "Tourism; domestic air or sea travel" a fossil fuel subsidy??
I'd suggest that you stick with Renew Economy as your primary information source as this site seems to lack credibility IMHO."
