    calling the fuel tax subsidy is misleading, the original reason fuel tax was put on was to fund road construction and maintenance, so as the mining and ag gear is not used on road they are exempt from the tax. plain and simple. it doesnt cost the govt its money they just dont collect. many other nations run a similar system in various forms. if you are familiar with the processing required for renewable equipment and the mining involved to get those materials, coal will be around a long while yet. on top of this you have population increase plus if the electric car revolution occurs...id say coal will be here a long while. what i cant wait to is the greenies and lefties oppose mining but in the same breath spruik renewables and electric cars. stavely will be a classic example of this, driving to the protest in there electric cars to protest a copper mine...hehe...this will be funny. Ant...
