Yes, it seems that there are two coal seams separated by about a metre of interburden. The first seam is roughly 2 metres thick, the second is about 1 metre thick. If you look up coal seam gasification on wikipedia, it states that generally the minimum width required for the seam is about 5 metres and ash content needs to be below about 60%. It looks like the ash content is fine, but the seam thickness is lower than one would like to be seeing. I wouldn't be getting terribly excited about the drilling results...
