    Hi,

just in case you have not already read this article (originally posted on the EDE thread on Monday September 5th Post #: 18922548) concerning last week's breakthrough news about CNT transistors outperforming silicon transistors, here is the link:

    http://news.wisc.edu/for-first-time-carbon-nanotube-transistors-outperform-silicon/

Those of you who have not already done so, I urge to visit the EDE thread and go through this thread for further important information.

With regard to the high level of possibility that CNT's will replace silicon in transistors etc. there seems to have been also a very recent breakthrough regarding a very cost efficient way to purify CNT's. See link:

    http://www.azonano.com/news.aspx?newsID=34965

I particularly like the following statement that I have marked in bold type:

Researchers at McMaster University have cleared that obstacle by developing a new way to purify carbon nanotubes – the smaller, nimbler semiconductors that are expected to replace silicon within computer chips and a wide array of electronics.

The above "purifying" breakthrough certainly dramatically increases EDE's chances of participating in this trillion dollar market!

    Best regards!
