There are ways out of this...just depends on how committed the Management, Employees and Suppliers are to keeping this alive.
Their is a whole food chain that depends on this working out.
Their Biggest Cost is Cost of Production...so at a high level, if this could be reduced by 10% were talking AUD$2M/pm or $24M to the bottom line per annum.
The Resource Boom is over...so supplier and ALL Employee salary expectations need to be realigned with reality.
Start with Admin Cost at a Senior Management level...put out an ANN tomorrow saying that Senior Management are taking a pay cut and leading from the front. (before you all have a pulmonary aneurism...I don't expect they would...just suggesting if they were REALLY serious).
Second Norm can sharpen his pencil and look at his costings and provide a reduced supplier rate to WDR from Remote Contracting Services Pty Ltd.
Print out the P&L and go through line by line and be ruthless...what is a necessity and what is a luxury and re-negotiate with all suppliers.
Ramp up production while the hedging is in place.
Anyway...tomorrows open "RED" or "BLACK" place your bets.
