I hope you're right mate, but... Investing seriously in gold exploration/mine developers in the last 20 years/ I was only truly successful 2x out of 60... with NST (grown by acquisitions and despite their intentions of "organic growth" they just bought again Pogo mines in USA) and out of over my investment in over 50 explorers ...only IGO (originally Independence Gold) found a substantial (Tropicana) deposit and IGO would not extend it or develop without Anglogold involvement finance and expertise...
All the rest were a great loss of time and money and they were not only "scratching the surface" but extensively drilling deeper eg under Bendigo, Ballarat and Walhalla to name just 3... and our well educated mining geologists, using "modern technologies", could not find any more than Chinese miners did and dig out in 19th century... so I feel the explorers will not be supported by investors at current POG while the growing costs of exploration is forcing producers to T/O rather than rely on their "organic growth" to replace the resources... that's why Regis needs and wants CMM!
The depleting and deep mines of S. Africa with rocks temp. reaching 60 C may not be acceptable here ... so I am inclined to rather believe the old experts mentioned below, unless you will set up a smart exploration company and prove them wrong? I'll back you!
