I actually don't know the answer to your questions. I'd be speculating.

There are those who we all understand to be key players and then, I suspect, there are others whom they represent.

As per my previous post, the current focus of those key players seems to be very much on fast tracking FAS to production. They see that as an avenue to a significant income stream in the next 2 years.

My impression is that they can no longer be bothered fighting for GWR because (1) they didn't win control and (2) they don't think it will reach large scale production/export for several years (and they now feel that they have a more immediate prospect in Mahendra's/Joyner's).

That said, they know that 20% of GWR is worth a truckload more than 70c per share (let's call it $100m depending on how long they can hold out).
