I agree with you again gavtech.

We should stay as we are and look at the future. Not at what we will get in the short term, lol.

If anyone care to go through my posts, you will see how many times I said that IMHO AOE could become another WPL, and I still think along the same lines today. And unless I will be proven wrong, no one will change my mind on that.

I also stated that I would prefer long term fully franked dividends instead of a quick payout and facing a Tax bill (CGT Event) at the same time, while if one will get dividends fully franked, it would be a win win situation.

Yes, the dividends received will be fully franked at the current tax rate of 30%, while the value of the shares will increase in value, and tax would not apply until one will decide to pull up stumps, and go home.

I also noticed that someone wrote that AOE would need about $2billion dollars to proceed with the LNG train at Fisherman's Landing. If that figure is correct, I would have no problem with a capital raising to raise that kind of money.

After all, at the current $5 per share, (and it could be more if the market knows that we will go alone and head for bigger things), AOE would have to issue about 400million shares, and bingo we go ahead and head for the sky.

Someone may now say that that amount of shares would cause a huge dilution. But lets face it there are other big companies out there that have that amount of shares on issue two or three times over and their sp is way way above ours. So I can't see any problems with that proposal. At the same time, if and when we were to proceed along those lines, the big end of town, and of course the Instos, would like to share a piece of the action/cake as well, thus pushing the sp further.

And, it wouldn't have to be solely on a share issue basis. Some of the funds could be raised via an Offtake Agreement (and there are plenty of peple/Companies out there interested in doing/signing such a thing), and by debts/loans. After all we already have an income stream with the sale of gas and Electricity. Have we not.???

And, worse come the worse, what is wrong with us retaining the gas and sell it on to the LNG producers.?? That on it's own would create a huge return as well.

My thoughts and DYOR. But I know the way I would like the things to go.

    Good luck all.

    Buddy
