DJIA closes DOWN 92.12 points

After being up for much of the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled nearly 100 points, or 1 percent, in the final half hour of trading, settling around 9,950. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq each lost about 0.6 percent.
