IF I recall correctly, The Torre" project needs about $35 million to get started. The Co has no money and a very poor financial and production record to raise such required funds.
The road at Crista will be a long long long way off before and if it finally gets final approval AND BUILT !!. The Co should have by now engaged highly qualified and quality lobbists to move things along at all levels. The way I see it, is that the Co will only use this excuse over and over again that it's the road issue causing ALL the Company's low financial returns and poor recovery/production issues.
I also agree that if it wasn't for the increasing gold price over time, then this company would have been forced to close down some time ago.
I think JL as well as others who left the Co before him (Jones) had no other alternative but to leave the Co and try and keep their business reputations intact somewhat.
I see the S/Price hitting 8c shortly.
At this point in time, I think the Co should not proceed with capital raising. BUT I think that they will need the money to get through to the next quarterly.
