Actually Dems are globalists they support free trade. Trump is a nationalist he only supports US industries. However if every nation thought like Trump we would be in a depression, imagine if China refused to sell rare earths to US good bye computer industry or if Canada decided to not allow US companies to develop oil fields you would have energy prices in the 100s of dollars per bbl or if Australia decided tomorrow not to sell food, prices of food would soar. Global trade is not a winner take all it is about deals, negotiation and mutual benefit. Take that away and we are back to the 1930s every nation for herself and that only leads to war. The well regulated slow growth of the Dems is preferably to the sharp growth lead by sharp decline.
