accountants who want to stay in the game are moving as many clients to cloud based software as much as possible as compliance work is a function that will slowly recede. Clients are overcoming reservations about using cloud software.

you don't need accountants to do the basic work - more profit for the accountants
there is direct client access - no need for clients to maintain portfolios separately - all up to date, online with current valuations.
