There has been talk about exploring avenues for starting a class action and submitting ASIC complaints.
I personally think that it should be a standalone thread rather than being lost in another thread. While I think it could be a red flag to potential investors it's just a discussion about options for the minnows out there that are caught in the net of EVM.
It's seems to me that the ASIC complaints are individual submissions and then ASIC investigates from there. I suspect that if multiple complaints were received then they would be grouped together as part of the same investigation. I suspect this would take time to be reviewed.
The class action option is more complex. I don't know much about them other than its usually a group of people who bring a case against a defendant and people can join till a point to get more weight. I've hard recently of the talc powder class action, the Ford Explorer fuel tank action and the ones made famous by Erin brokovich movie!
So while some of you put some comments down on the other thread, what do you think the feasibility is of these options?
What's the process of garnering support? There is no way on hot copper of contacting people other than to put down your details for all to see (which for me is concerning) do you approach a law firm and get them to advertise etc. ? Do we get hold of the share registry and email people to see if they support etc? Do we create a Facebook page to get support but then it may get infiltrated by non holders?
While I have a serious stake in EVM im not in a position to pursue anything other than to make a complaint to ASIC or ASX as an individual if I chose to do that.
Hopefully this avenue is circumvented by a awesome deal with EVM but history is history.....
