Yep. $22K turned into $200 to fatten the legal vultures. That is litigation in Oz: $3Mil settlement, $2Mil legal fees. Less than $1Mil in payout. No jailtime, no conviction, no ban from corporate roles in publically listed companies. This is legal day light robbery sanctioned by the law.
I am still trying to find the disclosure of the settlement structure in Piper Alderman paperwork of the recruitment and sign on forms...must be super small print.
PS: what happened to Admiral Bay - presumambly the world largest zinc deposit?
