You can take this with a grain of salt but my advise would be to meet up with a lawyer who specialises in this sort of thing early on. I did something similar and it cost me $250 for an hour meeting which really opened my eyes. Luckily I met with a good lawyer, others are happy to string you along and just get what money you have left.
