Bond imo just has to fight this out in the Court. If not to only save face by his claim the Qld govt is wrong, (and so he and his exec's can counterclaim if the case is won) but for the benefit of the small shareholders - so we might sue the Qld govt for our financial loss. This is certainly going to be a precedent case for the law (and the govt to prove it's new laws). When the Law Society claimed the govt's new law could have 'unintended consequences' - those consequences could very well mean that the govt can end up getting it's pants sued off. I think a class action law firm may relish the chance to take on such a ground-breaking law suit.
