I'll disagree on the Chippy point.

Onyx have a different approach, the grid will put some people off and not others.

Better or worse is a personal preference I think, but they do make more power at the moment and are selling.

I still go back to my point on all these technologies, if you don't store the power made by the windows or use it at the time it's made it is lost.

As I have said before they need a battery storage which could be added to the frame of the window. As you would see in the videos from ClearVue the fan being used is a rechargeable battery fan.

Perfect solution, use 14D's approach as part of the building, store the power as molten silicon and then use the heat as well for the building in the winter months. Sounds a bit stupid but think about it.
