I do wonder if it is orcastrated to a large degree to try circumvent the bulk of the royalty increases introduced last year in the DRC. Sell cheap then value add later once exported and just hide the true value through bogus contracts to related companies in China.
The DRC mining code changes, and the cobalt price slide, did occur around the same time.
I'm not even sure how the royalties owed are assessed in the DRC so probably completely wrong. It may just be my pondering mind looking for reason.
