DR Congo elections: Fayulu calls for peaceful resistance

DRC 2018 presidential candidate Martin Fayulu urged supporters to embrace 'peaceful resistance' at a rally in Kinshasa.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo's main opposition leader, Martin Fayulu, is urging supporters to embrace what he calls "peaceful resistance".

He believes rival candidate Felix Tshisekedi colluded with former President Joseph Kabila to steal December's election.

The Congo will always be a sovereign risk. democracy doesn't happen overnight and requires the right mentality. It needs to be done correctly for there to be lasting stability. anyone that believes otherwise is deluding themselves. one small trigger will send this country into civil war at anytime. it is a powder keg just like Yugoslavia was, only thing is the congo is much more diverse and much more dysfunctional. you have ethnic groups that should of been part of different countries if it were not for colonisation
