With cobalt price falling the way it has I'd think any good management wouldn't be releasing when numbers are so negative.
I'd much rather see numbers released as cobalt is on the up and not in free fall. Management know this.
We've always followed the price of our main commodity so there's not much that could have been done to stop the bleeding.
We've only got one shot at releasing our numbers and the marketplace usually isn't great at foresight - they play what's in front of them, so better to wait for macro conditions to change.
We're not the only one holding things up. Watch the flood of overdue Ann's across many companies as soon as China and US kiss and make up.
Volatility and negativity has been rife in the markets for a while, couple that cobalt crapping itself and you don't have the best scenario for dropping company making Ann's.
I have to agree with you on BB's current salary as he's got a bit to prove but that's pretty standard across companies still yet to prove themselves.
As for cornerstones, I think they'd be waiting in the wings for conditions to change too. No point trying to prop up a company without full confirmation.
CLA may not present as a safe option right now but there's a lot of upside if you're looking for a spec stock that could easily multi bag many times over if macro conditions change - and this can happen quickly when it does change...
