In relation to 3) the 'recent good news' was timed to market the capital raising. Who knows when more good news will come...
4) According to the ASX announcement the McAleese's offer was an "incomplete, unsolicited and highly conditional proposal" so consideration was not the only issue.
I agree with you that this company is a good investment. The question is whether there will be sufficient selling pressure.
