It seems a surprising move which I don't understand. Then again why would I as I'm a mere ignorant small investor unaware of the machinations within BKL and having no insights into the individual psychology of Ms CH. But given the business has done pretty well overall over the past 5 years plus her record overall seems as though it has be graded around a B+.
So why move from a business doing well and most likely going ahead that she has an intimate knowledge of to go and try and drive Australia Post forward. Doesn't she believe in the benefits of vitamins anymore? On the other hand maybe I'm underestimating the exciting world of moving packages around? Boy you'd want at least 4 coffees a day to work there wouldn't you?
Salary seems like a reduction - she earned nearly $3m in 2016 at BKL and her new base is $1.3m. Also she purchased $100k of shares in Feb 17. Granted that is probably not a lot re net wealth - although she still owns $4 m of shares in BKL.
Lastly I'm surprised a CEO of major well performing listed company goes down the road for a job interview. Did she email her resume and cover letter down to the Hayes consultant at lunchtime one day after a bad meeting?
