The 19 people who voted for Anning are shocked at this outrage against the Senator they elected.
Is this a Western democracy? You can get 19 votes and become a Senator? Seems beyond bizarre.
How does all this ‘preferences’ stuff work?
How about you get one vote for a person to represent you locally, and one vote for a party. When those votes are counted, those with the most votes win.
Simple.
