There is one undeniable truth in all this, which is that radical fundamentalist Islam (the minority of Muslims) and the Alt-right whites (also the minority of whites) are of the same ilk. They are both made up of easily influenced individuals bereft of critical thinking and basic humanity. In the days after the 911 Twin Towers attack I was sent to the Afghan/Pak border (North West Frontier) working for a wildlife NGO due to my extensive experience of the people and their culture. In doing so, I occasionally rubbed shoulders with the radical Islamic element, and it struck me how similar they were in thinking to the Alt-right republicans of the Bush administration. Both repressive in their attitudes towards women, both adherents to strict and often unfair laws, both cruel, both deeply religious and followers of the Book (given Christianity, Judaism and Islam are all classed as 'People of the Book') and unwaveringly self-righteous, and without critical thought. So it goes without saying that both these fundamentalist elements are the enemies of the common man. On and off, its an ideological war of radical elements that has raged for centuries, and sadly I don't see an end to it any time soon. That said, hate speech of any kind and mindless slaughter is no man's friend.
