The technology imo is sound and could potentially control every transaction across the planet. Not only that, do so cheaply and quickly. So yes, the banks would like the status quo to remain as they make a fair bit of coin from financial transactions. But the future is coming and I wonder what the banks will do when the ASX adopts blockchain (2020?). (This all speculation at this stage because the ASX have yet to even close submissions).
