If you move forward a year from that interview , and look at the ASX announcements , you will see they did end up with metallurgical problems , as ended up with unplanned "middlings " which was a concentrate that they could not find a market for , fast forward a bit further and the new MD LJ found a market for the middlings in Germany (from memory ) which provided some much needed cashflow
Also immediately North of Deflector about 6 kms is another pit that was also mined , another company is currently exploring for gold there
