Thanks for your excellent comments as always, Tiger. Buffett describes as "inferior" those shareholders who think that owning 50 shares worth $1 is better value than owning 1 share worth $50. He's quite right, and I do wonder what will happen to BRK.B after the share split. Presumably BRK.A and BRK.B will remain fairly priced relative to each other, as people/instos will be able to arbitrage, but will excessive trading of the B-class stock increase the volatility of the A-class?
I don't have any BRK shares, but I do think it's a shame that Berkshire is set to go ahead with this share split.
