However, BHP's coal division can't and isn't making money at current prices. Indeed, none of the top 3 US producers are likely to make a profit. I reckon there in only 1 ASX listed coal company capable of doing so at present (which I won't name in case of being accused of cross-promotion).

Unless coal become the new zinc this and many others are very leveraged to the price recovery now predicted in Q3 2013
