thats not how the game works I'm afraid...
If it costs $100/tonne to get out of the ground, wash and freight to the customer, and they can only charge $75/tonne whats the point of trying to sell 6.9btonne of it?
Unfortunately thats the scenario NMR is looking at... ATLEAST until the infrastructure problem is sorted and even then its iffy.
If thermal prices were at $120/tonne or higher I'd say NMR would be in with a shot.. At $85/tonne.. nope.
They should concentrate on SR until coal price goes up in the next few years while having beginning talks about getting infrastructure in place to maximise opportunities of high coal price.
