Copper inventories monitored by the Shanghai Futures Exchange for a second week, weekly data from the bourse showed. Aluminum stockpiles gained.
Stockpiles (SHFCCOPD) of copper fell 4,818 metric tons to 218,814 tons this week, according to a survey of 10 warehouses in Shanghai, the exchange said on its website. Those at bonded warehouses rose 900 tons to 19,681 tons.
Aluminum inventories climbed 3,029 tons to 369,247 tons, the highest since May, according to a survey of 20 warehouses in Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces.
Zinc (SHFZZIND) stockpiles fell 6,940 tons to 376,711 tons, based on a survey of 15 warehouses in Shanghai, Guangdong and Zhejiang, while those of lead declined 6,133 tons to 26,880 tons.
