"Linc Energy has told the ABC that it was only told about the gas findings 10 minutes before the department publicly released them.
"We are concerned that the department's release may cause an inference to be drawn that these [gas] readings were in some way related to the company's Chinchilla operations," a spokesman for Linc Energy said.
"Linc Energy will continue to monitor this matter closely and seek further information from the department."


It would seem that this new Govt, is following the path of previous Govt's in relation to UCG. Breaking the story and creating more public backlash against UCG, prior to getting Linc's comments is only inflaming the issues. IF the Govt WAS on the verge of announcing approval of CNX, it surely is a MAJOR cockup by the Govt to release this story without consulting Linc? The ramifications of these actions are enormous for CNX, in sending mixed messages. IMHO.
