It makes sense that OPR do the port and Yilgarn do the rail especially if OPR doesn't have the cash to do the rail just yet.
Yilgarns Idea of the conveyer belt to the port is terrific and would allow the rail to be somewhat viable well before the port is completed.
If Yilgarn are ready and willing to build the rail, then barnett should let it happen.
His beef should be with Mr Swan for allowing China Inc to be so agressive in aquiring midwest assets and not directed at china for wanting to invest in infratsructure, especially at a time when capital investment has dried up, but is desperately needed to get the economy chugging again.
