According to state broadcaster China National Radio’s report, 2015 will witness the dawn of Graphene’s use in mass production of electric car batteries in China

The research and development of graphene has expanded quickly after it was first produced in the lab in 2004 by two scientists from the University of Manchester.

In a similar development, Spanish company Graphenano and the University of Cordoba in Spain, have released a so-called super battery for electric vehicles which charges in eight minutes due to the graphene polymer technology. The Graphene polymer technology improved almost all aspects battery:

Its energy density mass (or specific energy) is very high , about 600 Wh / kg, when a conventional battery lithium ion is usually between 140 and 160 Wh / kg, and some slightly more advanced around 200 Wh / kg.

The life, speaking of charge and discharge cycles, becomes twice that of conventional batteries lithium ion.

The recharge rate is permissible even faster. With a charging station with very high power, the battery of an electric car could be recharged in about eight minutes, say its creators.

The price of graphene polymer cells is 77% lower than that of lithium-ion cells.

Furthermore, U.S. electric car company Tesla Motors announced the launch of the graphene-battery based Roadster 3.0 on December 26, 2014. The new version of the car uses graphene in the production of the battery, thereby increasing its energy storage capacity significantly. The battery range reportedly improved by 50% enabling the 3.0 version to travel 644 km on one charge, a non-stop drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles, according to Tesla.

In an effort to capture the super battery market, China has established several graphene development bases in Chongqing, Wuxi, Nanjing and Qingdao. However, graphene researchers say that the development in China is mainly to apply graphene to existing lithium-ion batteries rather than using the graphene to make the battery itself.

The country’s 13th five-year plan (2016-2020) may include graphene development, said Li Yichun, president of the Chinese Graphene Technology Strategic Alliance.

If you have been reading my articles for a year now on the tensions between China and America overlapping in Sri Lanka over Trade, Security and Vein Graphite....

Well now the main stream news is starting to catch on to this battle of Super Powers. Like always America is waging a massive anti-China PR campaign and is trying to move SL away from China. Now India is stepping in and the new SL Government is looking more and more US Leaning....

Nice article and your research and work on this stock has been nothing but impressive!

I know what its like to spend 10s of hours on research a stock sometimes it doesn't workout....

But MRL has huge potential that is quickly going to turn into reality

Also to all thinking of buying friday arvo was great cheap buying and you may catch some this morning if your quick enough
