Dex, I work on a methane (CH4), (natural gas) drainage rig. Your info is vague at best. CH4 does desorb from coal readily, but the atomic structure of CO2 makes it much harder to drain, so injection back into the seam would not be an option. I am also of the opinion that CO2 is used to extinguish fires, so what would happen if it was injected into a furnace?
