My investment thesis is a very simple one . We have a company that trades at a big discount to NTA due to a weak operational performance in recent times . This creates a low risk opportunity , (low risk as it is already trading at a solid discount to NTA and downside is less, exists but less ) and is a great way to gain explosure to the thematic “food bowl “ story. The upside is if operational performance improves the market will close the NTA discount and may even add some value for operational cash flow.
Personally I have been looking to acquire some farm land myself , not big sub 200 acres but these seem to go for a premium so I figure why gain direct exposure at full price when I can gain indirect exposure for a big discount that also has no transaction costs and is highly liquid.
Lastly I still think Tavistock may pull the pin and seek to acquire these assets via a TO which becomes easier given current price and AUD
I will be in the market for another bite at 1.07 . Seeking to take my exposure to approx 200k shares to make it meaningful but not excessive . Have 135k now
