Here are some of my thoughts, research on beef and AAC and the big picture: 1. Inflation starting to occur in USA. 2. Despite this USA consumer demand for red meat seems to be up ( by nearly 1kg each per person per annum) many pundits are watching this market as they watch international demand, and exports ( especially exporters from USA, Argentina, Australia) as they try to factor this demand in, some aren't sure if it will continue, but it will impact on the USA export volumes ( one way or another) 3. US fed rates are going up. 4. There's expected to be strong flows of capital back into $US including various means chasing "secure" higher rates/ bonds/ or parking investments back there generally 5. This means $US to remain strong... Despite trump admin trying to push it lower. 6. $A could end up circa 0.65c 7. Demand for Aussie beef therefore gets a nudge. 8. Add in further slower trends of demand from China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia for red meat and there's some support for all types (Chilled, frozen, Wagyu, even to the mince). 9. AAC has both breeding territory, large stocks, and can grain feed at various feedlots. AAC seems well placed for this, better than most. 10. If there is a continued demand for stock (breaking of droughts etc in some parts of OZ : southern QLD then restocking / holding is keeping local prices up too) Hmmm AAC seems to be drifting still further down...what am I not seeing?
