Word coming out of Chile of extensive flooding in the Atacama.
Not discounting the human aspect (Pretty awful really).
Codelco halting/impact on production at their Copper mines.
Any impact on SQM and the other Chilean brine operations? Would be surprised if this didn't cause some disruption to their evaporation ponds.
and would have to be a heck of a hit on their production and expansion (oversupply) plans.
A significant supply shortage would result in a lithium price spike.
interested in the shorter opinion on this one? Could be a short squeeze on the cards...
