All this talk is just an allegations. The investigation hasn't ruled out anything.

The company said that they accidentally paid the hotel bill for the Managing Director of the Chicago Transport authority. So what's the big deal anyway?

This whole investigation came up because that MD retired last year.

Regarding the commission allegation, how could you call it a bribe if the company is paying commission to their own consultant (employee)? This employee just happened to be a good mate with the retired MD.

I don't understand people trying to make a big deal out of this. At the end of the day, a lot of big Australian companies are doing similar stuff anyway. Classic example: big mining companies give "donation" to political parties in return for "favor".
