She lost almost all her teeth in a bicycle accident years ago. She had been managing with an old denture all that time. We can’t afford health insurance so she has made do. Recently she was told by a dentist she needs dental work on the few remaining teeth she has that is very costly. That’s the priority. To avoid infection and she wants to save the teeth obviously. 
She had received some subsidised help from dental students at the hospital but it’s not enough and the waiting list for more help only means she has to bare the pain for months until she might be assisted. She needs the unfinished dental work done yesterday. 
Secondary but also important is that she would like to get implants to restore her appearance. Her lips have become disfigured over time and she masks it as best she can.
