Acutally to get the real saving on silicon or Sliver you would have to revert back to the polysilicon price per watt based on crystalline wafers.
Polysilicon price = $50 per kg
Wafers per kg = around 60 wafers per kg @ 2.6 watts each
Polysilicon cost per watt = ($50 / 60 wafers)/2.6watts = $0.33 per watt for polysilicn cost used for one wafer..
So the saving at the silicon level for the Silver is what? $0.15 per watt? $0.20 per watt?
The price avantage could be lost at the 1st step from Polysilicon to a Sliver wafer due to process..
